El pasado día 6 de agosto se anunciaron los ganadores de los premios de la Asociación de críticos de televisión a las mejores producciones del año. En ediciones anteriores han sido premiados títulos como "Watchmen", "El cuento de la criada" y "Atlanta".
En la presente edición "Ted Lasso" era la serie más nominada con cinco nominaciones y fueron nominados Ethan Hawke y Thuso Mbedu que no lo fueron en los últimos premios Emmy. La serie más galardonada de este año por los TCA ha sido "Colegio Abbott" con cuatro premios incluyendo mejor programa por encima de otros títulos como "Succession" y "Hacks", mejor serie de comedia por delante de "Ted Lasso" y mejor nuevo programa en vez de "Yellowjackets", por ejemplo. Como mejor serie dramática ha ganado "Succession" como era de esperar y es la favorita en los Emmy en esta categoría.
Sobre los apartados de interpretación en general, en drama ha sido premiada Mandy Moore quizás como consolación por no haber sido nominada a los Emmy y estaban nominadas actores como Mickael Keaton y Amanda Seyfried, mientras que en comedia ha sido premiada Quinta Brunson por "Colegio Abbott" si bien destacan Jean Smart y Jason Sudeikis.
Para acabar, podemos señalar que como mejor miniserie ha sido reconocida "Dopesick" aunque había otras candidatas como "La asistenta".
