Ayer día 29 de mayo en los German film awards triunfó la película "El sonido de la caída". Mañana domingo 31 de mayo se celebra en Toronto la gala de entrega de los Canadian screen awards a las mejores producciones canadienses del año. Cabe recordar que en la edición anterior ganó la película "The apprentice. La historia de Trump".
En esta décimocuarta edición los films más nominados son "40 acres" con nueve, "Follies" y "Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie" con ocho, y "Blue heron", "La ironía del amor" y "Honey bunch" con siete cada uno. Considero que los que más posibilidades tienen de ser premiados son "Blue heron" en categorías principales y "40 acres" como alternativa que puede obtener varios premios. Uno de los dos también puede ser reconocido como mejor debut.
Sobre los apartados interpretativos, como mejores protagonistas destacan Nina Kiri y Neil Elias, mientras que como mejores actuaciones de reparto pueden ser premiados Matt Johnson y Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers.
En cuanto a los rubros técnicos, "Deathstalker" podría llevarse algunos.
En el ámbito de documentales, como mejor largometraje de no ficción opto por "Spare My Bones, Coyote! (Mais où va-t-on, Coyote?)" y también podría ser premiado "Endless cookie".
Además, como mejor cortometraje de ficción me decanto por "Thin walls".
