Ayer domingo día 7 de febrero se dieron a conocer los ganadores de los críticos de la capital británica. El año pasado la película "Parásitos" ganó los premios principales.
En la presente edición el film "Saint Maud" ha sido el más nominado con ocho nominaciones y ha ganado en tres categorías británicas a mejor largometraje, actriz para Morfydd Clark y directora revelación para Rose Glass. También "Nomadland" se ha impuesto con tres premios importantes en mejor largometraje, guion y actriz para Frances McDormand. Sin embargo, el premio a mejor director ha recaído en Steve McQueen por la miniserie "Small Axe".
Por lo que respecta a las categorías interpretativas han sido premiados Chadwick Boseman, Shaun Parkes por una de las entregas de "Small Axe", Maria Bakalova y Riz Ahmed como mejor actor británico.
Además, el film "Rocks" ha recibido dos premios a mejor intérprete revelación y mejor logro técnico para su casting.
Por último, cabe añadir que la película danesa ha ganado como mejor cinta de habla no inglesa y la rumana "Collective" como mejor documental.
