Después de conocer que en los films más nominados del sindicato de actores son "El poder del perro" y "La casa Gucci", este lunes día 24 de enero se anunciarán los ganadores de la sociedad online de críticos de cine. Cabe recordar que en ediciones anteriores ganaron películas como "Parásitos" y "Nomadland". En la presente edición, los títulos que cuentan con más nominaciones son "Dune" y "El poder del perro" con nueve cada uno.
Teniendo en cuenta que el largometraje de Jane Campion está dominando en las asociaciones de críticos de Estados Unidos, es posible que sea el más premiado en categorías importantes como mejor película y dirección, aunque no hay que olvidar a "Drive my car" y "Licorice Pizza".
Por lo que respecta a las categorías interpretativas, como mejores protagonistas destacan Benedict Cumberbatch aunque Will Smith (no nominado aquí) es el favorito hacia el Oscar y Kristen Stewart pese a que no ha sido nominada al SAG. Como mejores intérpretes de reparto los preferidos sopn Kodi Smit-McPhee y Ariana DeBose.
Por su parte, como mejor guion original merece ser reconocido el de "Licorice Pizza" mientras que como mejor guion adaptado parece que tiene las de ganar "El poder del perro".
En cuanto a otros apartados importantes, como mejor largometraje animado opto por "Los Mitchells contra las máquinas", como mejor film extranjero sobresale el japonés "Drive my car", como mejor largometraje de no ficción me decanto por "Summer of soul" y como mejor ópera prima "Mass".
Por lo demás, sobre categorías técnicas, "El poder del perro" puede obtener las de mejor banda sonora y fotografía, "El callejón de las almas perdidas" la de mejor diseño de producción y "Dune" la de mejores efectos visuales.
