Este sábado día 9 se anunciarán los ganadores de los premios USC scripter que reconocen el trabajo de los guionistas y de los autores de las obras adaptadas. En los últimos años, la película que ha ganado el USC scripter luego se ha llevado al Oscar a mejor guion adaptado. Sin ir más lejos, el año pasado el film galardonado con ambos premios fue "Call me by your name".
Este año las ausencias son los films "Infiltrados en el KKKlan" y "Ha nacido una estrella". Los mejores posicionados para ganar este premio son "El blues de Beale street" y "¿Podrás perdonarme algún día?" que precisamente son las únicas de las cinco candidatas al Oscar en su categoría. Personalmente, opto por la película de Jenkins.
Por otro lado, en el apartado de series de televisión, puede ganar el episodio de la miniserie "The looming tower" aunque también estaría bien el de "El asesinato de Gianni Versace".
