Hoy domingo 26 de enero se han anunciado los ganadores de los Satellite awards que concede la International Press Academy (IPA), formada por periodistas de más de veinte países diferentes. la ceremonia de premios se aplazó debido a los incendios en Los Angeles y se anunciará una nueva fecha para la gala. Cabe recordar que el año pasado las películas más premiadas fueron "Oppenheimer" y "Los que se quedan". Estos premios generalmente intentan ir un poco libremente en sus ganadores y no seguir mucho la tónica de los favoritos al Oscar.
En esta vigésimo novena edición, en el ámbito cinematográfico, los títulos que obtuvieron más nominaciones fueron "The brutalist" con diez y "Dune: parte dos" con nueve. El largometraje de Brady Corbet ha ganado tres premios incluyendo mejor drama y dirección mientras que "Anora" sólo ha sido reconocida como mejor comedia. Los guiones premiados han sido "A real pain" en original y "Nickel boys" en adaptado. La película más premiada ha sido "Wicked" con cuatro menciones.
Por lo que respecta a las categorías interpretativas, excepto Demi Moore que es una de las favoritas, el resto de intérpretes premiados no estaban entre los grandes preferidos: Colman Domingo, Fernanda Torres, Guy Pearce, Ariana Grande y Keith Kupferer.
Sobre los rubros técnicos, "Dune: parte dos" se ha llevado los de mejor fotografía y montaje, "Gladiator II" los de mejor diseño de producción y efectos visuales, "Wicked" ha ganado tres incluyendo mejor sonido, vestuario y maquillaje y "Emilia Pérez" los de mejor música y canción para "El camino" y no "El mal".
Además, en otros apartados importantes no han ganado los favoritos de la temporada de premios: la película de "Wallace y Gromit" en animación, el serbio "Waves" como largometraje extranjero y el de Christopher Reeve como mejor largometraje de no ficción.

En el ámbito de producciones televisivas, cabe recordar que en la edición anterior los Satellite awards premiaron a "The last of us", "Solo asesinatos en el edificio" y "Fargo V".
Este año los títulos más nominados eran "Shogun" y la segunda entrega de "Feud" con cinco cada uno.
Primeramente, como mejor serie dramática no ha ganado la favorita "Shogun" sino "Slow horses" mientras que como mejor serie de género "Lo que hacemos en las sombras". Como mejores interpretaciones han sido premiados Kathy Bates y Hiroyuki Sanada.
En segundo lugar, "Hacks" ha ganado como mejor serie de comedia y como las mejores actuaciones han sido reconocidos Emma Stone y no Jean Smart y Patrick Bramall.
En tercer término, me alegro de que "Ripley" haya sido reconocida como mejor miniserie en vez de la preferida "Mi reno de peluche". Como mejores interpretaciones han ganado Colin Farrell y Cate Blanchett y no los favoritos Richard Gadd y Jodie Foster.
Además, como mejores intérpretes de reparto han sido reconocidos Diana Lane y Robert Downey Jr.
