Nominaciones Independent British Awards 2014:

Este mes de diciembre empieza la temporada de premios y una de las citas es la entrega de los premios del cine independiente británico que se celebra en Londres. En años anteriores han resultado ganadoras películas como "Metro Manila", "Tyrannosaur", la oscarizada "El discurso del rey" o "Moon". Este año están presentes films interesantes y valiosos como "Mr. Turner", sobre el pintor William Turner. Es una de las favoritas que puede triunfar, sobre todo por la interpretación de Timothy Spall, que figura en muchas listas de premios, si bien su máximo rival sería Brendan Gleeson en "Calvary", presente en diversas categorías. Otra película con serias opciones y que tendrá un camino firme hasta los Oscar es "The imitation game", centrado en el matemático Turing, donde Keira Knightley opta como actriz protagonista y no secundaria, si bien me decanto como posible ganadora a Gugu-Mbatha-Raw por "Belle". Cabe destacar también la comedia "Pride" y el thriller "'71" que pueden llevarse algún galardón. 

Considero que la película "Mr. Turner" se llevará varios de estos premios, aunque su máxima competencia es "'71" o "The imitation game".
