Círculo de críticos independientes de Chicago 2019:

Este sábado día 2 de febrero se anunciarán los ganadores de le tercera edición de los premios que concede el Círculo de críticos independientes de Chicago, que no hay que confundir con la Asociación de críticos de Chicago, como una de las más importantes como la de Los Ángeles o el Círculo de críticos de Nueva York. En el pasado año fueron premiadas en estos premios de Chicago "Lady bird" y "Déjame salir" y hay que señalar que hay finalistas en algunos apartados.

En la presente edición "Black panther" es la película más nominada pero creo que aunque puede llevarse algún premio quizás puede ganar en las categorías principales de mejor película y director la aclamada "Roma" de Alfonso Cuarón, director que es candidato a estos premios a diferencia de Barry Jenkins y Paul Schrader, por ejemplo. En los apartados de guion, como mejor libreto original también podría ganar "Roma" pero opto por "El reverendo" o "Eighth grade", mientras que como mejor guion adaptado puede recaer en "Infiltrado en el KKKlan", aunque hay que tener en cuenta a "El blues de Beale street" y "No dejes rastro". 

En las categorías interpretativas, como mejores protagonistas pueden ser reconocidos Joaquin Phoenix y Olivia Colman aunque también lo merecerían Ethan Hawke y Toni Colette. Como mejores intérpretes de reparto destacan como posibles favoritos Richard E. Grant y Regina King. 

En cuanto a los apartados técnicos, como mejor diseño de producción tiene posibilidades de ganar "Black panther" mientras que como mejor vestuario y maquillaje el premio puede ser para "La favorita" o "El vicio del poder", que podría ganar como mejor película de estudio. 

Además, en otras categorías, como mejor película de habla no inglesa estaría bien que ganara "Burning", que no ha logrado ser finalista al Oscar y, para acabar, como mejor documental puede recibir el premio "Minding the gap" o "Won't you be my neighbor?", que tampoco ha conseguido ser candidato al Oscar.
