El pasado domingo día 13 de noviembre se conocieron los ganadores de los premios Critics choice dedicados a la no ficción. Cabe recordar que el año pasado triunfó en estos premios "Summer of soul" que luego ganó el Oscar a mejor documental.
En la presente edición el film "Fire of love" que se estrenó en salas españolas obtuvo siete nominaciones pero no ha sido el triunfador y se ha conformado con el premio a mejor documental de archivo. La ausencia más destaca es la de "All the Beauty and the Bloodshed" en la categoría más importante. El largometraje "Good night Oppy" de Ryan White sobre el robot que exploró Marte durante quince años que estuvo en el pasado festival de Telluride ha sido el más premiado con cinco menciones incluyendo mejor documental, dirección, narración, música y film de no ficcón sobre ciencia.
En cuanto a otras categorías, cabe señalar que "Moonage daydream" que se estrenó en España obtuvo el premio a mejor montaje y "The Beatles: get back" se ha llevado dos premios a mejor documental musical y mejor serie de no ficción limitada. Además, hay que apuntar que el film "Navalny" que se emitió en el canal público catalán ha sido reconocido como mejor documental político.
