Este lunes día 28 de febrero se anunciarán los ganadores de la asociación de críticos de Hollywood, una de las asociaciones que faltaba por dar su reconocimiento. En un principio estaba previsto que el anuncio fuera el 8 de enero pero se aplazó al 28 de este mes que se acaba.
Este año el título más nominado es "Dune" con diez nominaciones, seguido de "Belfast" y "CODA" con ocho cada uno. Teniendo en cuenta que el film "El poder del perro" ha dominado en los premios de la crítica es posible que gane en la de Hollywood aunque la alternativa sería "Belfast", ya que "Licorice pizza" no está en mejor dirección ni guion. Así, la película de Jane Campion tiene posibilidades de ser premiada en mejor largometraje, dirección y guion adaptado mientras que la de Kenneth Branagh en mejor guion original.
Sobre los apartados interpretativos, como mejores protagonistas apuesto por Jessica Chastain y Benedict Cumberbatch al margen un poco de la tónica en general aunque Will Smith y Nicole Kidman pueden ganar en galardones mayores, no hay que olvidar a Kristen Stewart que fue de las más reconocidas por los premios de la crítica y cabe apuntar que no figura Olivia Colman. Como mejores intérpretes secundarios sobresale la favorita Ariana DeBose y Troy Kotsur ante la ausencia de Kodi Smit-McPhee y también de Kirsten Dunst. Además, como mejor elenco actoral puede ser reconocido el de "Belfast" si bien también tiene opciones el de "CODA" y el de "El método Williams" (los SAG pueden dar una pista sobre este apartado). Y como mejor interpretación vocal me decanto por John Leguizamo en "Encanto".
En cuanto a rubros técnicos estos pueden repartirse entre "El poder del perro" en mejor fotografía y banda sonora y "Dune" en mejor montaje y efectos visuales, y también puede haber premio para otros films como "El callejón de las almas perdidas" en mejor diseño de producción y "Cruella" en mejor diseño de vestuario.
Por lo que respecta a otras categorías importantes, como mejor largometraje de no ficción estaría bien que ganara "Rescate en las profundidades" que no fue nominado al Oscar, como mejor film animado uno de los favoritos es "Los Mitchell contra las máquinas" aunque la alternativa sería "Encanto", como mejor película extranjera la favorita es la japonesa "Drive my car" y como mejor largometraje independiente sobresale "CODA".
Acerca de apartados de películas por géneros, como mejor film de terror destaca "Un lugar tranquilo 2" o "Maligno", como mejor cinta de acción apuesto por "Sin tiempo para morir" y como mejor comedia o musical debería ganar "West side story".
Por lo demás, como mejor ópera prima sobresale "Claroscuro", como mejor cortometraje opto por "Lejos del árbol" y como mejores especialistas los de "Dune".
