Después de que en los premios Goya los films más premiados fueran "El buen patrón" y "Las leyes de la frontera", la temporada de premios internacional continúa y mañana jueves día 17 de febrero se anunciarán los ganadores de los premios IFMCA a las mejores partituras musicales y compositores del año. Cabe recordar que el año pasado la película "La increñible historia de David Copperfield" obtuvo el premio a mejor banda sonora y Daniel Pemberton fue reconocido como mejor compositor.
Este año James Newton Howard y Hans Zimmer son los compositores más nominados con cuatro nominaciones cada uno. Considero que en la categoría principal de mejor banda sonora del año puede ganar "Dune" que ha sido candidata al Oscar , como mejor compositor merece ser reconocido Jonny Greenwood que este año ha dado dos bellas partituras en "El poder del perro" y "Spencer", mientras que como mejor composición del año opto por la de Michael Giacchino en "Spider-man: no way home".
Por lo que respecta a mejor música en films de diferentes géneros, en drama estaría bien que ganara "Spencer" aunque ha sido más reconocida la de "El poder del perro", en comedia destaca la banda sonora de "No mires arriba" a cargo de Nicholas Britell (nominada al Oscar), en largometraje de acción sobresale la de Hans Zimmer en "Sin tiempo para morir", en película de ciencia-ficción merece ser premiada la banda sonora de "Dune", en film animado destaca la de "Encanto" (también candidata al Oscar), en largometraje de no ficción opto por la música compuesta por Rachel Portman y en serie de TV la de "Fundación".
Además, en otros apartados, como mejor relanzamiento o regrabación podría ser premiada la música de John Barry aunque hay otros potentes candidatos como John Williams y Jerry Goldsmith, y, para acabar, como mejor compìlación, si bien está la música del cine Pedro Almodóvar a cargo de Alberto Iglesias y la de John Williams, me decanto por la de Bernard Hermann.
