Este domingo día 27 de febrero se anunciarán los ganadores de los premios Black reel que reconocen el talento cinematográfico racial de Estados Unidos. Cabe recordar que el año pasado triunfó en estos galardones el film "Yo soy Dolemite".
En la presente edición la película "Más dura será la caída" ha logrado el récord al ser la más nominada de la historia de los Black Reel con veinte nominaciones superando las diecisiete que obtuvo "Black panther" y parece ser la favorita a ganar en las categorías principales de mejor largometraje y dirección.
En lo que acontece a los apartados de actuación, como mejores principales sobresalen Will Smith y Tessa Thompson aunque hay que tener en cuenta a Denzel Washington y Jennifer Hudson. Como mejores intérpretes de reparto podrían ser premiados Idris Elbas y Ruth Negga y así desmarcarse un poco de la tendencia de otros premios más importantes si bien están André Holland y Ariana DeBose que sí parece la preferida en mejor actriz revelación mientras que como actor revelación opto por Anthony Ramos. Además, como mejor interpretación vocal destaco a Zoe Saldano por "Vivo" y en mejor reparto tiene opciones de ser reconocido el de "Más dura será la caída" con permiso del de "El método Williams".
Sobre otras categorías significativas, como mejor guion apuesto por el de "Claroscuro" mientras que como mejor guion debutante me decanto por el de "Zola" y en mejor dirección novel es probable que gane Jeymes Samuel por la película más nominada.
También, en otros apartados importantes, como mejor largometraje de no ficción destaca "Summer of soul" que ha sido de los favoritos durante la temporada, como mejor film extranjero sobresale el etíope, como mejor película de ficción independiente opto por "Zola" mientras que en documental por "100 years from Mississippi" y como mejor cortometraje por "The door of return".
Por lo demás, en cuanto a rubros técnicos en mejor banda sonora podría ganar "En un barrio de Nueva York", en mejor canción de decanto por la del film "Respect" aunque ha sido nominada la de "El método Williams", en mejor fotografía destaca la de "La tragedia de Macbeth" en blanco y negro, en mejor montaje me inclino por el film favorito "Más dura será la caída" y, para acabar, "West side story" tiene opciones de sumar premios en mejor diseño de producción y de vestuario.
