Después de conocer las nominaciones de los premios BAFTA en que los títulos con más nominaciones son "Dune", "El poder del perro" y "Belfast", este domingo día 6 de febrero se anunciarán los ganadores de uno de los premios de la crítica, el de Londres. Cabe recordar que el año pasado ganó como mejor película "Nomadland" aunque mejor director fue Steve McQueen por "Small Axe".
En esta edición, el film que tiene más nominaciones, nueve, es "El poder del perro" que ha dominado los premios de las asociaciones de críticos de Estados Unidos y es posible que los críticos de Londres lo reconozcan en mejor largometraje y dirección aunque no hay que descartar a "Drive my car" que podría ganar algún premio importante como mejor guion además de mejor película extranjera. Como mejor largometraje de no ficción destaca "Summer of soul" aunque hay que tener en cuenta a "Flee" y como mejor película británica apuesto por "The souvenir parte II" a pesar de que puede ganar "Belfast".
En cuanto a las categorías de actuación, por un lado, como mejores intérpretes protagonistas destacan Benedict Cumberbatch y Olivia Colman aunque hay que tener en cuenta a Andres Garfield y Joanna Scanlan. En los apartados de reparto sobresalen los favoritos Kodi Smit-McPhee y Ariana DeBose si bien también podría ganar Ciaran Hinds o Jessie Buckley. Como mejores actor y actriz británico o irlandés opto por Andrew Garfield y Ruth Negga si no ganan en anteriores apartados aunque tienen opciones Stephen Graham y Joanna Scanlan.
Sobre las categorías de revelación, en mejor dirección me decanto por Rebecca Hall en "Passing" aunque son estimables otras óperas primas como "Censor", "Limbo" y "Después del amor". En mejor intérprete estaría bien que ganara Max Harwood pero Emilia Jones es una buena alternativa.
Además, en otros apartados importantes como mejor logro técnico resalto la música compuesta por Jonny Greewood en "El poder del perro" y, por último como mejor cortometraje británico destaca "Play it safe".
